Northern Italy
Isa and Marti poland, netherlands, italy, bavaria and should have gone to Morrocco. I love traveling with Isa. Our different interests together meant we always saw so much... and we always managed to eat somzink varm! Tourism is a nasty path which can drag you in and through a city, seeing the place like everyother visitor. We always see that but much more...

Wilhelmshagen Wald
Isa, Jess, Dango and I had an adventure to a forest to frollick amongst the nature and the Autumn and leaves and stuff. It was totally lovely to get out of city and breathe fresh air for a bit. Berlin doesn,t overwhelm me physically so sometiems I forget i need to get so nature in me! We even saw a woody wood pecker! It had a bright red belly. It totally fun being in a yellow forest, although some parts where bright red... We adventured of the path and after a while we stumbled upon, well we dont know what exactly. But old bunkers. We wreckoned must be from DDR keeping poeple in and out. But it was really crazy everthing just still there. Hooks to old not only one electric wire fence but for at least 10 cables. Bizarre... these abrubtly abandoned spaces till laying dormant in the forest, grown over by nature and graffiti artists.

polyFest
this week there has been a lights festival, and a porno festival and a trans conference and .. there always just so much shit happening here. ! but the light festival was quite cool. they lit up the alex with crazy big light. and also the brandenburg Tor. and the big Berliner Dome church.- they projected spots of red and blue over it . that looked amazing. its always worth going around this city at night, kooky things just are happening.
i really love alex, its like this total tourist icon but i love it. and what people do with it. create images out of it. it orientates me wherever i am in this city. project lights on it and its beautiful. and the lift in it is crazy fast i only lasted 10 minutes up there for the 8€ i paid! damn vertigo.
one morning we where on the top of isa,s apartment block. we watch morning and mist take of the city. from the top of her apartment which is 6 floors the view is flat. ... all the building s the same size. so i feels like standing on top of the city., there is no height here. except for alexanderplatz of course, and the random new tall buildings., but they are not together. so there is no centre. this city of Poly-centric. as i have heard it being described. but its true. Mitte, Zoologischer Garten, Kreuzberg, eberswalders... Poly Centre,s
Its getting cold here. i,ve bought a big coat to prepares. and i dontthink its long before i start wearing longjohns! the cold is quite nice though i guess. it just sucks beocoming dark so early. thats the worst. but its fun wearing gloves and big coats.

Hamburger Burgers
i was in Hamburg with sean for a scream club gig that he,s been on the orga for. One day we thought we would be sporty and so we jumped in some 30 year old kyaks and paddled out into the harbuor! way totally hilarious because there where massive (like bigger than the city sized) ships honkin gat us n stuff. and saun and i where there going around in circles.. then the cops came.. was so funny because at this stage i was freaking out a little and saun and i where screaming at each other so then i just screamed at the cops! lucky they didnt understand my slang.. they where telling me to coem close to there boat and i was yelling "what the fuck. as if i,m coming near your fucking boat. no fucking way....!!!" then desperately tried to paddle away, but it was quite futile considering it was against the current....! but it was totally fun way to be an anti-tourist...
bloody real tourists where taking photos of the hooligans in kyaks!
She Trigger Photography...
these amazing photos where taking by a mate of mine at the DTM march. i,ve put up the link to Finn,s website to see other photos he,s taken. mostly of queer and feminist subjects, he;s work is totally amazing, and phtography is usually my least favourite medium, but with people like Phe and Finn in my life i think i can be persuaded.
and i have to say is thank you Mum for bringing my red heels all the way from down under. and also my runners, i,ve been runnning along the kanal. trying to catch the last of the sun just before it fades away. winter is coming ergh..!

DykeTransMarch2007
The demo is done, i dont know how to explain. it was a long road. i had many problems with political tactics and views. Although in no way do i disregard my entire experience of this demo. I met some wicked friends and now doing more projects with them, and it introduced me to a politcal queer feminist crew of berlin. however it seems i picked one of the most confused, disagreeing groups!! This is not totally negative because although i disagreed with many people in every discussion there was always a new view or politcal angle to consider. in fact i think in some way the people i have met through the group are amazingly strong minded, tough and confident queer and feminist people. each with an abiltiy to redefine sexuality and gender in their own way. so therefore the disagreements whre inadvertently deconstucting gender...
HOWEVER CLOSETS KILL... When it comes down to it i left this politcal group 2 weeks before the demo. i still am not sure quite who was welcome at the demo, the party. what the demands where. who the demo was direted at... lost in translation, transitioning into lost, transmission faulty.. get got good. debates are good but with no resolution shit like this can happen.

funny little berlin beg in my bunk bed
, fuck Alice, ...
This is a massive advertisment for a phone company, they did heaps anticipation campaigning,.. saying alice is coming alice is coming. with these massive pictures of her then, ´she`was just a phone company. so some wicked feminst activitist climbed the scaffolding a cut sexism out of the image.. yeah wuckin ha!
No NEED FOR A VICTOR MOWER
this is a small part of the Mauer Park, which most of the amazing landscape design features are brilliantly unoticable because of the graffiti! but this is a scene where, like every park in berlin the maintenance is very low. like tiergarten is more like a forest rather than a park. this is people hiding amongst the brushes chilling out getting a little bit a space.
east german kids fo sho
what is a better thing to do in what is the former site of the ´death strip´between the east west dividing walls... Its amazing the way that berlin and germany has taken responsiblitly for its past. Through design, arts, culture... in so many ways there is acknowledgment of what has happened on this land. if only Australia could fucking well do the same thing... Although this photo is of a purely recreational space there is an abundance of places that you are just unable to escape remembering. these i wont post on the blog...

Rot und Blau Thema Berlin ALTERNATIVE CSD
transgenialer CSD/AlternativePolitical Berlin Gay Pride
To prepare for the DykeTrans March 2007 the Collective had a spot at the Transgenialer CSD to do a promo. At first we thought to do a performance. So we worked on this fun show, but then time constraints and the never ending flow of discussion content we decided to do a speech instead. The speech was intentionally vague and we confused abot what we where talkign about an why. This was intended to be a tool to invite more people to come to the meetings and have discussion queer politics and about what it means to have a dyke trans march. it went well, except we where on really late and so instead of listening to a speech most people wanted performance or music, saun and i definately included! But since saun and i worked on that project we,ve become close mates... so good things come from not the most exciting projects!
Saun made a short doco of this speech and parade so ... if ya want it i can send it.
10 years ago they started charging a fee to have a van in the mainstream CSD demonstration. Of course this coincides with politics being droped from the agenda of the parade and comercialistion taking it over. But 10 years ago the alternative crew turned their van around and strated there own. Its great to be able to be a part of the `CSD`but also not have to be around all the mainstream pink dollar shit...
MOTHERS; CHURCHES; CASTLES; ROCKS AND ITALY
So mum popped over to europe for a quick cuppa. and i though hey lets go to italy and eat pasta and see the coast, enjoy the weather. Instead we spent 3 days in Rome seeing every old stone, church, buiilding statue, painting, tower, rock, cathedral, did i mention old stones, statues, museum, had a crayk at Opera, but bailed on that and went to back to the Vatican for the evening experience!
look it was all a bit much for me, but jee wizz can Mum look at stuff. after a while one Mchaelangelo painting looked like a carravaggio! nah.. it was great going to Rome with mum. i think if a hadn,t of gone with her i wouldn,t have been keen on doing a lot of things we did. But i guess thats what Rome is. This crazy hell old city, by the end of the trip i was proud to where my Michelangelo t-shirt!
other than that .... alls ist egal! neh nicht wahr!! du musst fragen!

The G8 and Political Performance
Demonstrations can be a place of hostility, aggression and anxiety. These are mostly valid emotions when up against a system and society that represses in so many ways. Performers at demonstrations are able to firstly interact with bystanders in a humourous and engaging way. Making the issues obvious and simplyfied and can potentially entice interest in the issues. and secondly performers can break the hostility between police and demonstrators in a smartarse, sarcastic kinda way. so calling calling... who wants to dress and go to the stress with me in Melbourne when i return?
