crash landing...

after 55 hours travelling i made it back to melbourne. feels surreal being here, wonderful and difficult. I'm enjoying seeing the coty with new eyes, and taken note of things that before would have past me by. it feels exciting but hard at the same... damn its ok to be emo.

the weather is glorious.. my pore pale german skin keeps getting burnt but the sun and salt of the beach is wonderful. Melbourne does have a beach. i was a st kilda snob but i,m totallz reformed, pretty special to reach a beach just by tram.

Rockstrip was an intense yet wonderful experiences. seeing my best mate for the first tiem on stage was pretty crazy, almost got up to hug him. Having a female rock band bang out the live tunes for a queer strip shows is a pretty spectacular concept... great to see inspiring queers on my second night in this country.

getting out... 01

I sat with my father in a falafel restaurant around the corner from my home in Kreuzberg (only for another 9 days:-( ). And for the first time we talked a little about the fact that since he has visited me in Berlin everyone refers to me as He. And he does too. Well almost all the time, I guess he realised that it was a little more serious when we both walked into the same toilet at the Gallery. Before it was just howit was for me, I was affraid and to articulate gender and sex on a political and personal level... guess we will take it slowly.

I just can out to my mum via email as a He. I wish that I could be everywhere and in Melbourne so that her and I could go to the Transdestinations conference:

Blue Velvet Pony Girl wit "Gramps' stil got it , yeah"

Gramps has still got it... Both grandpa stan and fooks. was to get on stage and say good bye to 2007. The best part of the show was colllabarting with wonderful Pony Girl and Velvet... bit of fun between friends, and with a very appropriate anti-ageist undertone! Was the first New years spend away from the beach with all my lovely homies around me. first time in a city since being 18.. and what a city... decribed best as a warzone as the clocks ticks over to 2008 as every child and grandma lights there own fireworks, a haze of smoke settles through out the city and red dye from the paper covers the streets for days after.
It snowed here the forst dy of 2008, which was lovely for drinking more mulled wine. Glühwien whcih is the savour of christmastime in Germany. Christmas was spent down south, gettin some real german tradition up me... if it wasn,t for the snowboardin and isa i could have done with out it!

Northern Italy

Isa and Marti poland, netherlands, italy, bavaria and should have gone to Morrocco. I love traveling with Isa. Our different interests together meant we always saw so much... and we always managed to eat somzink varm! Tourism is a nasty path which can drag you in and through a city, seeing the place like everyother visitor. We always see that but much more...
